Laser therapy uses a process called photomiomodulation to bring pain relief and faster healing to your pet’s damaged tissue. This process uses concentrated light energy to energize cells and stimulate faster healing while reducing inflammation and pain in the process. We use laser therapy for pets in a variety of ways including the treatment of chronic conditions, injuries, and post-surgical recovery.
Depending on your pet’s condition, they may require only one or two or a series of laser therapy sessions for us to see improvement. Acute conditions like post-op recovery generally only need one or two sessions, while chronic conditions like arthritis require a series of sessions. Since laser therapy is cumulative, over time, your pet will require fewer sessions for longer-lasting relief.
